Iona Beach Sunsets
Don't wait for the perfect sunset to go out to take photographs. Use the mundane ones to work on your composition and learn the camera settings you want to use.
If you have time to plan ahead, then arrive at your location early and scout out the area and try to imagine where you think the sun will be setting.
Sometimes with Mother Nature it's easy to give up and pack away your camera when you aren't seeing any interesting light. I was taking photographs while walking back to the parking lot when I noticed the sunset was better than I thought it was going to get.
