#cafeyvrinportland Portland Coffee Crawl
On the banks of the Willamette River in Portland sits the quiet residential community of Sellwood where you can also find Either/Or Cafe which opened last year. They brought some great coffee to the neighbourhood and take pleasure in serving it to locals and visitors that make the short trek to the cafe. Either/Or uses beans from Heart Coffee Roasters along with a rotating menu of roasters including Roseline Coffee Roasters and Kuma Coffee. They also serve an espresso and beverage flight at Either/Or that comes with a glass of sparkling water and a food pairing to go along with the flavour notes from the coffee. They also take the time to make their own house made syrups which also has led to bottling their own Tanglewood Chai ginger spiced concentrate.

Heart Coffee Roasters
While there isn't any problem being able to source Heart Coffee Roasters' coffee locally in Vancouver with it being featured on the menu at Revolver Coffee. You have two options with the original Heart roastery and cafe on the Eastside of Portland and their newest location that opened last year on the other side of the river in downtown Portland. Both cafes offer house coffee made using Fetco brewers while the Eastside location also offers coffee brewed individually using Aeropress and V60 brewers. One unique item served at Heart is their affogato that gets made with a coconut ice cream made in-house (using coconut cream, maple syrup, vanilla bean, and Himalayan pink salt) and as a bonus the coconut ice cream stands up better to the heat from the espresso without instantly melting.

Good Coffee Pop-Up Coffee Bar
While finishing work on their first cafe located on SE Division Street, Good Coffee found the perfect way to introduce themselves to the neighbourhood with a pop-up coffee bar in front of their new space. Opening every day for nearly two months the service and design of the pop-up was a good hint at what was in store with their new cafe that just opened this week with a soft opening. The temporary coffee bar also featured some equipment going into the cafe including a La Marzocco AV Linea Classic and Mahlkonig K-30 Air grinders both finished with a matte white paint job. Good Coffee will be a multi-roaster cafe with coffees brought in from Roseline Coffee, Madcap Coffee Company, Coava Coffee Roasters and Heart Coffee Roasters. Look for some more exciting partnerships and developments from Good Coffee to be announced shortly including a second location.
